Rev. Varghese K Abraham took the charge as the vicar of St. Mathew''s Marthoma Church from May 2011. He hails from Kadampanad near Adoor, Kerala and his home parish is Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church,Thuvayoor. Achen completed his Bachelor of Divinity Degree and Theological education from Mar Thoma Theological Seminary,Kottayam. Achen was consecrated as a priest of the Marthoma Church in 2001.

Achen has held the postion of the Chaplain to the Metropolitan, Poolatheen,Tiruvalla. Prior to this post, he has served the following parishes

Achen''s wife Asa Kochamma hails from Kottayam.

They have two sons Abel Abraham Varghese aged 7 years and Aiden John Varghese aged 5 years.
