St. Mathew’s Mar Thoma Church Choir is a fifty plus auditioned member group that has assisted the Sunday Worship service ever since the parish was formed. The mission of the Choir is to serve the Lord our Master by leading songs during worship and Holy Qurbana. The Choir holds the privilege to provide opportunities for church members who has an inclination to sing as a group in a meaningful way. The members meet regularly on Friday evenings at the church in preparation for Sunday worships. Also this allows members to learn sheet music and to have a closer relationship as a Choir family. Membership to the Choir is only through church membership. Any church member who has a call to serve the Lord by singing is welcome to join and participate in the Choir activities.

Choir had the privilege of participating at the Regional Choir Festivals held at Chicago and Detroit during previous years and is getting ready for the Choir Festival in Markham this year. Apart from this Choir has been performing for the Christmas Carols in a very diligent way. This year also we are planning to conduct an Easter Recital in April with our Church Youth group at Grace United Church. The choir hopes and prays that these programs will provide a holistic feeling of the season irrespective of the commercialization. We are also blessed to have a strong Junior Choir who are active participants in all the major events of our parish.

Rev. Alex. P. John continued his support as the president. The Choir is blessed to have Mr.Boby Varkey leading the Senior Choir, Mr. Mathew Abraham (Litty) the Junior Choir and Rohit John as Organist.

On a final note we thank the entire choir and the church members for their relentless support and encouragement and are really grateful for those who went the extra mile sacrificing for the success of the choir. We thank the Almighty God for his abundant mercy we received all these years and pray for his mighty guidance in the years to come.
