Building Project
Overview
The members of the St. Mathew's Mar Thoma Church, Toronto have prayerfully begun the honorable and exciting task of building a new church to glorify the Almighty. The project that began as a humble dream back in 2001, picked up much steam in recent years as the resources that we needed to build the church – land, money, manpower and approvals from authorities – were provided, one by one, to HIS people by our good Lord.

Our Metropolitan, Most. Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma, visited the church property on June 8th, 2008 and blessed the corner stone for the new church. With this, we moved from the planning stage to the execution stage of the project. Since then, the parish has taken several decisive steps to move us closer to our dream of worshiping in our own church. Our goal is to move from the current rented facility (Grace United Church in Brampton) to the new church to be built on our property in Halton Hills by the end of 2009, if God willing.

During these difficult times, in the face of adversity and economic hardships, the parish is praying together and working together with one mind and one heart to build our church. We are putting our faith in God, knowing HE will continue to provide for HIS people and open new doors as we go along.

Let us arise and build.
